|
In a low-scoring game between the Lynchburg Hillcats and the Potomac Nationals, pitcher Zander Kelly was masterful on the mound. The Lynchburg left-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Kevin Dudley recorded the save, his 2nd. The win gives Lynchburg a record of 4-3.
Geoff Mann came through with a big-time hit for Lynchburg. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
Lynchburg manager Nick Markakis called it "a good, solid win."
