Desi Muller pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Potomac Nationals, despite Muller's fine outing, dropped a 3-1 decision to the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Potomac drops to 3-5.

Tim Allen took Potomac hurler Desi Muller deep in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run home run put the Blue Rocks on top, 2-0. In all, Allen had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Wilmington manager Ozzie Timmons. "It's usually not just one thing."
