Hillcats Flatten Nationals, 9-4
|
The Lynchburg Hillcats topped the Potomac Nationals, 9-4, with left fielder Jorge Hijar playing a big role. Hijar was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Hillcats in the win. The winning pitcher was Zander Kelly. His record now stands at 2-0. The left-hander went 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits for the Hillcats. The loss drops Potomac to 4-8.
