Blue Rocks Earn 7-0 Win Versus Frederick
Clarence Howell was terrific for the Wilmington Blue Rocks in his team's 7-0 triumph over the Frederick Keys. His performance earned Howell rave reviews. Howell got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 1 hit and walked 6 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The Blue Rocks, now 9-5, have been playing some good baseball.

Chris Huggins had a big 2-run double for the Blue Rocks in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Wilmington leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Bob Badger and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Rocks ahead, 4-0.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Wilmington skipper Ozzie Timmons.
