The Blue Rocks grabbed a win, 7-3, at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Potomac pitcher Walt Powers. Powers went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. Wilmington is now 10-5.

Wilmington used the timely hitting of Steve Teague to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Rocks on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"When you put in the effort and you get really focused, the results come in ways you're not even expecting," said Blue Rocks manager Ozzie Timmons.
