The Winston-Salem Dash got a sterling performance from second baseman Juan Fernández, but the Salem Red Sox still prevailed, 6-5. Fernández went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Dan Gore in relief. His record improves to 1-1. António Flores took the loss for Winston-Salem. Mike Lane closed out the game, earning his 4th save.

Salem took a 6-5 lead on Jeremías Robles's 4th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Robles hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Winston-Salem pitcher António Flores visibly frustrated.
