The Lynchburg Hillcats downed the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 5-3, at Ed Smith Stadium. Danny Griffin led the way, going 2-for-3 for Lynchburg. Jon Kline picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 2-1. Kevin Dudley picked up the save, his 4th.

With Lynchburg leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Griffin hit a fastball from Willie Johnson for a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Hillcats ahead, 3-0.
