In a tight game between the Lynchburg Hillcats and the Potomac Nationals, pitcher Zander Kelly was terrific on the mound. The Lynchburg left-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. The loss drops the Nationals to 8-19.

Rhett Osborn, who leads the CAR in triples with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. Osborn contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Lynchburg up, 2-1.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Osborn. "You've got to get results."
