Pelicans Squelch Keys Offense in Shutout Win
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans got a marvelous performance from pitcher Víctor Trujillo. The right-hander kept the Frederick offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-0 Myrtle Beach victory at Harry Grove Stadium. The Keys fall to 12-16 and continue their sputtering start to the 2026 season.

Kieran Willis, who is tied for 2nd in the CAR in stolen bases with 3, had a direct impact on the outcome. Willis contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Myrtle Beach up, 1-0.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Willis. "And not try to do too much."
