Winston-Salem pitcher José Zamora had a large part in his team beating the Carolina Mudcats, 2-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. In 5 innings, Zamora surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed no runs. Dave Cobb earned the save for Winston-Salem.
