The Lynchburg Hillcats dealt the Wilmington Blue Rocks a 6-5 loss in 13 innings at Ed Smith Stadium. Bret Carlson was the star on offense. He was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The setback makes Wilmington 17-12.
Doug Morrison delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the 13th to win it for the Hillcats. For the game, Morrison went 1-2 with 2 walks.
