Blue Rocks Earn Late Win
Lynchburg right fielder Doug Morrison had a good game, even if his team did not. The Hillcats dropped a 6-5 decision to Wilmington at Ed Smith Stadium. Morrison was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. The Blue Rocks improved their record to 18-12 by beating Lynchburg.

Wilmington used the timely hitting of Manny Silva to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Blue Rocks on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Silva.
