Keys Get Clutch Win Versus Myrtle Beach

The Frederick Keys picked up a win, 4-3, over the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at Harry Grove Stadium. Jon Ramos led the charge. The Monmouth, Illinois native threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball for Frederick. Frederick is now 13-17, Myrtle Beach 17-13.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Mike Griffin came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Myrtle Beach pitcher Dan Newman, he hit a first pitch slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Frederick on top, 4-3.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Ramos, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
