The Frederick Keys picked up a win at Harry Grove Stadium, knocking off the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 10-6. Starting pitcher Bob Bedser played a key role in the triumph. The setback makes Myrtle Beach 17-14.
Steve Stone, who is tied for 5th in the CAR in hits with 32, chipped in a 2-run home run for Frederick in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Stone.
