Dominant Performance by Elder in Wilmington Win

The Wilmington Blue Rocks and Carolina Mudcats played an exciting game.
The Wilmington Blue Rocks racked up a win at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium, bumping off the Carolina Mudcats, 3-2. Andy Elder, who started for Wilmington, pitched effectively for his team. The save went to Juan García, number 2 for him.
Elder, a native of Killingly, Connecticut, was dealing all game. He kept Carolina hitters off-balance, while giving the Blue Rocks 6.1 quality innings. Elder threw 98 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 9.
