The Lynchburg Hillcats defeated the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 10-5, in Carolina League action at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. Lynchburg pitcher Jim Perkins had a standout performance. Perkins got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up no hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. He allowed no runs. Lynchburg is now 13-20, Myrtle Beach 14-19.

Lynchburg used the clutch hitting of António Becerra to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Hillcats the lead, 8-5. For the game, Becerra had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.
