|
Myrtle Beach Pelicans pitcher Dax Foster was in fine form, leading his team past the Winston-Salem Dash, 3-1. Foster got the win, improving to 4-3. He gave up 2 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. The loss makes Winston-Salem 24-15.
The Pelicans got a big at-bat from third baseman Arend Kooiman. For the game, Kooiman went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Myrtle Beach a 2-0 lead.
