The Potomac Nationals went down to defeat to Pat Poe and his Winston-Salem teammates. The final score was 7-0, in favor of the Dash. The Dash bumped their record to 31-12 with this win.

It could have been a different outcome for Winston-Salem, had it not been for Matt Davison, the 24-year old catcher . Davison contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Winston-Salem up, 1-0.
