Jon Kline pitched well, but his team, the Lynchburg Hillcats, still dropped a 4-1 decision to the Wilmington Blue Rocks at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Jeff O'Day nailed down his 5th save. The win for the Blue Rocks lifted their record to 25-19.

Steve Crow, who is tied for 7th in the CAR in hits with 42, helped out the Wilmington cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 3 trips to the plate.
