Frederick Keys starter Juan Águila pitched his team past the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 3-1. The winner was Frederick reliever Jeff O'Brian, now 1-1. The loser was Steffen Lord. The win hiked the Frederick record to 26-18.

Frederick got a clutch hit from Roger Villalobos. The center fielder launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"It took some doing, but we got what we came for," said Keys manager Whit Merrifield.
