The Carolina Mudcats grabbed a win, 7-2, over the Lynchburg Hillcats at Ed Smith Stadium. Carolina shortstop Brad Wright was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Jeff Harris nailed down the save. Carolina is now 25-22, while Lynchburg is 27-20.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Wright hit a 2-run home run off Orlando Castro. It propelled the Mudcats into the lead, 2-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Wright told the Carolina Citizen.
