Blue Rocks Get Past Carolina for 4-3 Win
The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

Wilmington parlayed a decent outing from starter Steve Bell into a solid win over the Carolina Mudcats. The final score was 4-3. Bell, now 1-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs.

Wilmington took a 4-2 lead on Steve Crow's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Crow hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Carolina pitcher Dave Norwood visibly frustrated.

Bell attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
