The Winston-Salem Dash picked up a win at New Winston-Salem Ballpark, knocking off the Frederick Keys, 5-3. On the mound for Winston-Salem was right-hander Cristiano Rodríguez. He played a key role in the triumph. The win lifted the Winston-Salem record to 34-16.

The Dash got a big at-bat from first baseman Pete Sánchez. For the game, Sánchez went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 8th double of the season gave Winston-Salem a 2-1 lead.
