The Dash got a big at-bat from right fielder Greg Battle. For the game, Battle was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Winston-Salem a 2-0 lead.

"We want to make a habit of winning," Battle said after the game.
