The Carolina Mudcats picked up a win at Grainger Stadium, downing the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 5-4. On the mound for Carolina was right-hander Sergio Martínez, who played a pivotal role in the win. The triumph puts Carolina at 28-25 for the season.

The Mudcats got a clutch hit from third baseman Ben Stevenson. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Mudcats.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Martínez said.
