Potomac Gets 7-4 Win Against Mudcats
The Potomac Nationals defeated the Carolina Mudcats, 7-4, at Grainger Stadium. Potomac third baseman Eric Edwards had a superb performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Dan Bernard picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Artie Hall suffered the loss. Potomac is now 26-31, Carolina 36-20.

Edwards had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Artie Hall, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Nationals a 6-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Edwards.

"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Edwards.
