The Myrtle Beach Pelicans picked up a win at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark, knocking off the Lynchburg Hillcats, 6-2. Starting pitcher Víctor Trujillo was a big reason why. The loss makes Lynchburg 34-24.

Joe McDonald went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Myrtle Beach. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off José Nájera. It was his 8th walk of the season.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," McDonald told the Myrtle Beach Daily.
