The Salem Red Sox faced a tough opponent in Wilmington pitcher Clarence Howell, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium by a final score of 7-6. Howell went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The Red Sox now have a record of 26-33 with the win over Wilmington.
