Stevenson Drills 2 Homers in 5-1 Carolina Win
The Carolina Mudcats grabbed a win, 5-1, over the Frederick Keys at Harry Grove Stadium. Carolina third baseman Ben Stevenson belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was Kevin King. He's now 4-8. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits for the Mudcats. Earning his 10th save of the year was Shawn Moore.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Stevenson hit a 3-run home run off Jon Ramos. It propelled the Mudcats into the lead, 3-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Stevenson told the Carolina Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

With the win, Carolina has a record of 30-30. Frederick falls to 24-36.
