The Frederick Keys defeated the Wilmington Blue Rocks, 10-2, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Kevin Reynolds produced 2 singles and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 1. The win gives Frederick a season record of 32-28.

Chuck Ward had a big grand slam home run for the Keys in the top of the eighth inning. With Frederick leading 4-1 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jonathon Foster and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Keys on top, 8-1.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Ward told the Frederick Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
