Pelicans Thwart Nationals, 2-1

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans wanted a good start from Dax Foster -- and he delivered one. The result was a 2-1 Myrtle Beach win over the Potomac Nationals at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. The Pelicans improved their record to 24-37 by beating Potomac.
Don Burns had a direct impact on the outcome. Burns contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Myrtle Beach up, 1-0.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Foster told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
