Though he had a terrific game, Don Campbell could not prevent his team, the Salem Red Sox, from absorbing a loss. Potomac won the game, 3-2. Campbell went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Potomac is now 28-38, Salem 28-38.

Daniel Michel aided the Potomac cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman drove in one run.

When asked about his performance after the game, Michel said: "Like everyone else, I'm just doing my job."
