Thompson Sensational for Keys
The Frederick Keys knocked off the Salem Red Sox, 8-4, in Carolina League action at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Frederick pitcher and Southfield, Michigan, native Dan Thompson had an outstanding performance. The Keys bumped their record to 34-32 with this latest triumph.

Thompson, the Frederick right-hander, went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 1 hit. He collected 12 strikeouts.

"I was the aggressor," said Thompson. "No doubt about it."
