The Wilmington Blue Rocks rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Dave Irving to a win, beating the Potomac Nationals, 5-2, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. Jeff O'Day picked up his 9th save of the season. Wilmington is now 38-29. Potomac is 28-39.

Chris Huggins had a big 2-run double for the Blue Rocks in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Wilmington leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Dylan Henderson and swatted a double to left. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Rocks ahead, 5-2.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Potomac manager Cesar Martin.
