Red Sox Lose, 11-4, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium
|
Wilmington shortstop Jim Reed was a significant contributor in his team's 11-4 triumph over the Salem Red Sox. He was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Blue Rocks. The victory gives the Blue Rocks a record of 36-32.
In the bottom of the fourth, Jeff O'Duana delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Wilmington center fielder hit a 2-run single, putting the Blue Rocks in front, 11-4.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," O'Duana said after the game.
