The Wilmington Blue Rocks extended their winning streak.

The Wilmington Blue Rocks topped the Lynchburg Hillcats, 5-2, the lion's share of the credit going to left fielder Robby Sanders. On the day, Sanders went 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs for the Blue Rocks. Pete Mousset earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 2 runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. Steve Brown, credited with the save, is now 8 for 8 in save opportunities.
