The Dash grabbed a win, 8-4, at Harry Grove Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Frederick pitcher Nate Hunter. Hunter went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Steve Winters, who is tied for 6th in the CAR in complete games with 1, was the winner. He's now 6-2. The loser was Tony Martínez. The win elevated the Dash to 49-27.

Winston-Salem first baseman José Rivera contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 78th hit of the season and put the Dash ahead, 2-0.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Rivera.
