Myrtle Beach 5-2 Losers to Mudcats
The Carolina Mudcats cut down the Myrtle Beach Pelicans by the score of 5-2, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Ben Stevenson. Stevenson went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Mudcats. Carolina pitcher Jeff Harris got the win. He's now 1-2. Dax Foster was tagged with the loss. The Mudcats improved their record to 38-39 by beating Myrtle Beach.

Stevenson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 forkball from Edwin Braun, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Mudcats a 5-2 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Stevenson.

"Nice win for us," said Stevenson. "Now we'll go after the next one."
