Lynchburg Tops Myrtle Beach, 7-3

Spirited fans greeted the Myrtle Beach Pelicans for their clash with the Lynchburg Hillcats.
Orlando Castro, who is tied for 3rd in the CAR in wins with 8, had a strong outing for the Lynchburg Hillcats against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. Castro picked up the win for Lynchburg, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 8-3. Picking up the save was Doug Bratcher. He's now 1 for 2 in save chances.
The Hillcats benefited from a costly error in the top of the seventh. With Len Carter at bat and Lynchburg leading 4-3, the Myrtle Beach miscue allowed Lynchburg to plate 1 and take the lead, 5-3.
"For the most part, I felt like I did a pretty good job with executing the pitches I was throwing," said Castro.
With the win, Lynchburg upped its record to 47-32.
