Tony Castro made an impact in the 8-5 Frederick win over Myrtle Beach. Castro, who is tied for 10th in the CAR in home runs with 7, was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Frederick reliever José Luna snagged the win, upping his record to 6-1. Ty Wall shouldered the loss. The third-place Keys have won 5 in a row.

Steve Stone had a big 2-run double for the Keys in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Frederick trailing 5-4 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Ty Wall, who is tied for 2nd in the CAR with a 9.7 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 9th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Keys ahead, 6-5.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Frederick manager Whit Merrifield.
