Coleman Lifts Pelicans to 13-6 Triumph
A 3-RBI performance from Quentin Coleman, the 10th overall pick in the 2024 draft, helped the Myrtle Beach Pelicans beat the Potomac Nationals, 13-6. The winning pitcher was Jerry Jennings. His record now stands at 6-8. The right-hander went 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits for the Pelicans. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Pelicans.

Ron Crotty had a big grand slam home run for the Pelicans in the bottom of the second inning. With Myrtle Beach leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Adams and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Pelicans on top, 6-1.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Coleman said. "We did a good job of that today."
