Potomac shortstop Ken Barnes had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Lynchburg in 10 innings. Barnes was 2-3 with a triple and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Chad Cochrane, credited with the win in relief, is now 6-7. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1 innings. Today's win puts Lynchburg at 44-58, while Potomac falls to 47-55.
The Hillcats were down to their final out when right fielder Len Carter turned a 1-0 fastball from Sean Wilson into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Ed Smith Stadium crowd go wild.
