The home crowd had a good time watching the Potomac Nationals and Lynchburg Hillcats get after it.

Luis Carlos made an impact in the 4-1 Lynchburg win over Potomac. Carlos, who is tied for 8th in the CAR in extra base hits with 36, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Chad Cochrane was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 21 of 26 save opportunities.

Len Carter hit a run-scoring triple off Don Jensen in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Hillcats in front, 2-1. In addition to the triple, Carter had 2 singles and 2 walks, while going 3 for 3.
