The Potomac Nationals got a good effort from starter Edgardo González in defeating the Frederick Keys at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium. The final score was 4-0. With the win over Frederick, the Nationals improved to 48-56.

González was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 6-8. In 8 innings of work, González gave up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 10. The Keys were never able to generate much offense.
