Winston-Salem Dash starter António Flores pitched a strong game against the Potomac Nationals at New Winston-Salem Ballpark, leading the Dash to victory, 5-3. Winston-Salem, at 58-49, occupies first place in the Southern Division.

Winston-Salem got a game-changing hit from Chris Farris. The pinch hitter blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Farris told the Winston-Salem Daily News.
