Ayala Leads Winston-Salem Past Carolina
Winston-Salem picked up a win at New Winston-Salem Ballpark, bumping off the Carolina Mudcats, 4-1. Pitcher Tony Ayala was a major reason the Dash emerged victorious. The triumph puts Winston-Salem at 71-39 for the season.

Winston-Salem starter Tony Ayala was a master of his craft. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.

"Tony was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Winston-Salem manager Brent Metheny.
