Lópes, who is tied for 5th in the CAR in runs scored with 63, went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Blue Rocks. The first-place Blue Rocks have a one-game lead in their division.

Bret Muldoon went 1-2 with 2 walks for Wilmington. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Muldoon had a clutch at-bat. Facing Potomac hurler Don Cash, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Blue Rocks a 4-3 lead.

In postgame comments to the Wilmington Herald, Muldoon said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
