The home crowd had a good time watching the Frederick Keys and Lynchburg Hillcats get after it.

Jerry Sawyer never let the Keys get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Hillcats to a win, 4-0. The win gives Lynchburg a season record of 70-42.

Lynchburg went in front, 3-0, on Danny Griffin's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Griffin hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Frederick pitcher Tommy Vance visibly perturbed.

"Jerry was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Lynchburg manager Nick Markakis.
