Marshall Helps Nationals Defeat Hillcats, 9-5
The Potomac Nationals beat the Lynchburg Hillcats, 9-5, at Ed Smith Stadium. The win was due in part to left fielder Willie Marshall, who was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Potomac reliever Dylan Henderson picked up the win, raising his record to 4-3. Tommy Pierce was tagged with the loss. After today's action, Potomac sits at 48-67; Lynchburg slips to 72-43.

With Potomac trailing 3-2 in the top of the second, Marshall hit a 2-run single off Lynchburg hurler Tommy Pierce. It was the 83rd hit of the season for Marshall and put his team ahead, 4-3.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Marshall told the Potomac Observer.
