Lynchburg right fielder Dwayne Wilson helped his team beat the Potomac Nationals, 7-2. Wilson went 2 for 4 for the Hillcats. Jerry Sawyer, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The first-place Hillcats, at 74-43, now lead their division by 14 games.
With Lynchburg leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Wilson hit a curveball from Chris González for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Hillcats ahead, 5-0.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Wilson.
