The Winston-Salem Dash nipped the Salem Red Sox, 3-2, at New Winston-Salem Ballpark. Winston-Salem pitcher Orlando Reyna, in particular, starred. With the win, the Dash have a record of 73-46.
In the bottom of the sixth, José Rivera delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the Winston-Salem designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Dash in front, 3-2.
"I still think this team can play even better," Rivera told the Winston-Salem Herald.
